Welcome to the Laketown Landing Website
Laketown Landing is the name given to the newly remodeled downtown shopping area of Moses Lake, Washington. In 2007, after much discussion and debate, the City of Moses Lake
decided to remodel the original downtown business shopping district of the city. For nearly a year, things were in a state of construction and sometimes a little chaotic, but
Moses Lake survived and now the downtown area is graced with new sidewalks and street fixtures.
But remodeling the streets and the sidewalks was only the first step in Moses Lake's plan to revitalize the downtown shopping area. The city hired a firm who specializes in
downtown renewal projects. Local city officials and business people joined together and became pro-active in their efforts to increase the daily flow of customers and visitors to
the downtown business area. Flower planters and sculpture projects now adorn several store fronts and street corners. Local citizens and groups were permitted to decorate
downtown city trash receptacles by painting them. The results are colorful, clever and entertaining.
Moses Lake has an active business association to go with its Chamber of Commerce and you can find out more about the downtown revitalization project by contacting them at this web
address: Moses Lake Business Association. In the meantime, we invite you to look through our gallery of photos and browse through
this website and learn about the merchants and the stores which await your visit to Moses Lake. We hope that you will consider visiting and shopping in the downtown business area
soon.
